Cam platforms hide sticker shock behind virtual currency (tokens, credits, gold, points). The effective price per minute depends on the bundle you bought, your region’s taxes, and whether you are in free chat, private, or an interactive show. This page explains the mechanics so you can compare sites fairly—then confirm numbers on the official checkout.
Tokens and credits
Most large sites sell balances in advance. A “token” rarely equals one dollar: each package includes a different discount, and exchange-rate display may round. Always derive USD (or your currency) per token at the bundle you actually purchase.
Free chat vs paid modes
- Public / free chat. Entry is often free; tipping drives the action. Minimum tips for requests vary by room.
- Private. Per-minute or flat rates debit your balance while the session runs. Some sites add “true private” with no voyeur viewers.
- Group, ticket, or goal shows. Hybrid models blend flat tickets with tipping—read the banner carefully.
Cam-to-cam and interactive toys
Enabling your camera or connecting tip-activated toys may cost extra or require higher tier memberships. Check privacy settings before you broadcast your own feed.
Subscriptions and perks
“Fan club” or subscription tiers can reduce per-minute rates or unlock archives. Evaluate recurring charges the same way you would any subscription—note renewal dates and cancellation paths.
Taxes and charges
Depending on your billing address, VAT/GST or sales tax may appear at checkout. International cards can incur foreign transaction fees from your bank even if the site bills in your home currency.
